There is the traditional one-car-per-lane analogue racing which is still very popular worldwide. A recent development is Scalextric Digital, which allows up to six cars to race on one two lane track, with special overtaking track pieces operated by a lane-change button on the hand throttle. Finally for the youngsters there is Micro Scalextric, 1:64 scale cars with excellent roadholding, a quarter the size of regular Scalextric.
